# Order types

Every order type on the perpetual ticket.

Market and limit sit on the ticket. Pro holds the rest. Every type still confirms on this desk.

| Type                 | What it does                                                         |
| -------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Market | Fills now. Slippage on the ticket is 0.5%. |
| Limit | Rests until the price is reached, or you cancel it. |
| Stop market | Trigger, then a market order. |
| Stop limit | Trigger, then a resting limit. |
| Market TP / Limit TP | Take-profit as a market or a limit.                                  |
| Scale | 2 to 50 limits between two prices. Each leg needs about $10. |
| TWAP                 | 5 minutes to 7 days. Needs about $100.                               |
| Chase                | Post-only. At most 5 at once.                                        |
| Trailing stop | Trigger moves only in your favor, then fills as a market. At most 5. |

Time in force on limit and scale: GTC rests, IOC fills what it can and cancels the rest, ALO is post-only. A trigger has to sit on the correct side of the mark.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.voltjuice.xyz/documentation/perpetuals/order-types.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
